Christian school in Africa
Many of you already know what happened in Rwanda in 1994. In 100 days over a million people were murdered in the process of Rwanda Genocide. Not only did it lead to many deaths, but it brought hatred and unforgiveness in the hearts of many people. Older generations, as well as the young generation, can’t forget the pain they went through. They lost their loved ones.
Many kids ended up in foster homes and the youth is living a reckless lifestyle because they don’t see any good future and have no hope.
We understood that just feeding people will not solve the problem, they will get hungry again. We decided that we will rather teach people how to earn money to buy food for themselves. We decided to build a Christian technical college/school in Rwanda. We starting realizing this project in October of 2015. The main goal of this college is to help kids and adults to get a get a profession. We want to help these youth people find themselves, have goals in life and give them an opportunity to grow. This will allow them to provide for their families in the future.
God gave us an opportunity to buy a piece of land and begin construction. A lot has already been done, but there’s more work to do.
These courses will be 9 months long and will focus on 7 professions:
1. Hairdressing
2. Mechanical engineering
3. Sewing
4. Decorative work
5. Construction
6. Carpenters (Furniture Making)
7. Computer classes
But most importantly, we will have Bible classes where they will learn the Word of God.
We believe that these people have a great potential and with God’s help, they will realize it.
